Where the Community Connects

The Irondequoit Public Library is dedicated to enriching the quality of life in the Town by providing quality customer services and life-long learning opportunities. The excellent collections of books and materials in other formats are focused to meet the informational, educational, and recreational needs and interests of Irondequoit residents. The library emphasizes and promotes the importance of books and reading, while actively and appropriately using information technology to provide customers with rapid, equitable access to knowledge. The library is one of the busiest public libraries in Monroe County and an active member of the Monroe County Library System.

Mission Statement

The mission of the Irondequoit Public Library is to provide services and programs that meet individual and community needs for educational, cultural, recreational, and technological exploration and to promote collaborations among residents and groups to foster an engaged and literate community.
