About Irondequoit

Irondequoit aptly means “where the land and waters meet” for the town is bordered by Lake Ontario, the Genesee River, Irondequoit Bay, the 1000-acre Durand-Eastman Park, and the City of Rochester.

The historic Town Hall complex includes the 1830s-era Pioneer House Museum and Blacksmith Shop. The campus also hosts a popular summer concert series, an outdoor summer movie series, a seasonal farmers’ market and the region’s largest July 4 festival.
