Human Resources is responsible for all personnel functions, which includes employment, compensation and benefits, payroll, staff development, employee relations, labor relations, contract administration and negotiation, etc.  Human Resources is the liaison with Monroe County Civil Service in matters concerning civil service law, procedures, job descriptions, and classifications.  The department is responsible for the development and administration of Human Resource policies and procedures and for ensuring compliance with applicable state and federal labor laws.

SCHOOL TRAFFIC GUARD - Part Time:

The Irondequoit Police Department is always accepting applications for the position of Part Time School Crossing Guard. The hours vary throughout the day, with a rate of $10.00 per hour. Candidates will ensure the safety of school children as they cross the street in the crosswalks to and from school. Candidates should be able and willing to work outside, in any weather conditions. Uniforms and equipment are provided.
