Tops Friendly Market/Depot Plaza Development Proposal

In the Fall of 2012 LB 1999-C1 Depot Plaza, LLC C\O proposed to demolish a portion of the previous K-Mart Plaza at 999 East Ridge Road and construct a 52,000+ sq. ft. Tops Friendly Market, related fuel station, 5,000+ sq. ft. out parcel and renovate the facade and layout of a portion of the current structure.

The western portion of the former K-Mart building will be renovated and the businesses currently in the “L” portion of the plaza will be relocated. After relocation the “L” portion will be demolished and that portion of the site will be parking in front of Tops. The Tops construction will be progressing concurrently with the renovation of the western portion of the building. The total building area of the plaza will remain at approximately 150,000 square feet.

There will be significant landscaping along Ridge Road and internally to the plaza. A new 5,000 square foot outparcel will be near Ridge Road on the west side of the main entrance. The M&T Bank and Monro Muffler buildings will remain.

The project is estimated to be a $15 million+ investment in the Town of Irondequoit. Substantial completion is expected in late summer/fall 2013. Final Site Plan Approval was granted by the Planning Board on 11/19/2012.
