Please join us for the "Red, White & Chew" Pie Eating Contest!

Start Time 2:00 PM (approx.) -- following the Naturalization Ceremony occuring on the Town Hall Steps.

Bring your family and friends for a hilarious event and help us prove Irondequoit is the most patriotic town in America.

Space is limited. Competitors will be required to sign a Waiver of Liability Form on the day of the event. Please do not sign up if you are unwilling to sign the Waiver of Liability Form.

Sign Up:  Click here for the form or call 336-6034. Registration will be accepted the day of the event (if spaces are still available) between 1:45pm and 2pm in front of the gazebo on the west lawn of the Irondequoit Town Hall.

PrizesPrizes will be awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place

Rules: 
  • Must be at least 18 years of age to enter
  • No entry fee
  • Sign up by clicking here or call 336-6034. Registration will be accepted the day of the event (if spaces are still available) between 1:45pm and 2pm in front of the gazebo on the west lawn of the Irondequoit Town Hall.
  • Contest starts at 2:00pm on July 4th in front of the Gazebo on Town Hall ground - 1280 Titus Avenue
  • Contestants will have 10 minutes to down one pie of their choice (blueberry, apple, or cherry - flavor choices will be first come, first serve on the day of the event)
  • Contestants may not touch their pie until the starting signal
  • NO HANDS MAY BE USED
  • There will be a 1st place, 2nd place, and 3rd place winner
  • Contestants may drink (non-alcoholic) beverage of their choice while eating their pie. Drinks will be provided by the contestant, not the organizers of the event
  • All pies will be weighed before the contest. If 3 contestants have not completely finished their pies at the end of the 10 minute time limit the pies will be reweighed to determine winners
  • The contest will end when 3 contestants finish their pies and stand upright. Judges will decide if pie is actually finished before ending the contest
  • Visible signs of sickness ("reversal of fortune") will result in disqualification
  • Judges' rulings are final. In the event of a tie - it will be up to the judges who the winner is based on how much pie they are "wearing"
  • Have fun - it's the Fourth of July!
