Nicole Hushla Re Appointed to Irondequoit Town Board
On Thursday, June 18, the Irondequoit Town Board voted to appoint Nicole Hushla Re to the Town Board, filling a vacancy created on May 22, 2015.
"I am honored and humbled to accept this appointment to the Irondequoit Town Board. My roots in this community run deep and it is very important to me to see our town thrive. I am eager to hit the ground running and work hard on behalf of our residents,” said Councilwoman Hushla Re. “Irondequoit truly is a ‘Town for a Lifetime,’ and I am committed to working with Supervisor Bello and the rest of the Board to keep my hometown a wonderful place to live, work, and raise a family.”
An Irondequoit native, Councilwoman Hushla Re is a well-known and active member of the community, a volunteer firefighter with the Ridge Culver Fire Department, and committed to many local causes, such as the Flower City Habitat for Humanity and the Wounded Warrior Project. An alumna of East Irondequoit, Councilwoman Hushla Re and her husband, Justin Re, chose to move back and make their home in Irondequoit.
“We are excited to welcome Councilwoman Hushla Re to our team at Irondequoit Town Hall. She brings a passion for this community and an eagerness to work hard on behalf of our taxpayers,” said Supervisor Adam Bello. “Irondequoit’s best days are yet to come because people like Nicole are willing to give back to their community through public service. We expect great things from her.”
Councilwoman Hushla Re will serve the balance of a four-year term, set to expire on December 31, 2015.
