This division of the Community Development Department is responsible for Town planning, review of site development plans for land use applications, and environmental conservation efforts.  This includes staff support to the Zoning Board of Appeals, Planning Board, Conservation Board, and Town Board in carrying out the land use planning and zoning functions of the Town.  The staff provides liaison and coordination with other Town departments and with county, state, and federal agencies; maintains and assists in periodic updates of the Town Master Plan and official Zoning Map; and prepares and maintains records of Planning and Zoning proceedings and decisions.
