2011 Brush Pick-Up Program

March through October

Requirements

Your cooperation is appreciated with a few simple requirements:

Branches must measure six feet or less in length,
and no greater than six inches in diameter.

Place brush near the street in front of your home.
Do not park vehicles in front of the pile, or pile debris
around an obstacle (mail box, tree, telephone pole, etc.)

Make sure there are no metal objects or stones in the pile.
They can damage the Town's wood chipper and seriously
injure workers.

Do not tie or bundle your brush piles.

Do not place brush beneath power or communication wires.

Private landscape contractors must remove their own debris.
Schedule

The Town's 2011 Brush Pick-Up Program will be as follows:

Northwest Quadrant (NW) is north of Titus Avenue on the east side of Cooper Road to Kings Highway North, and continues north to Lake Ontario. Also, everything north of and including Totem Trail and Seneca Park Avenue, from to the Genesee River, East to Kings Highway North.

Northeast Quadrant (NE) is north of Route 104 to the lake(excluding Sunrise Crescent), and from Kings Highway (north and south) east to the Irondequoit Bay.

Southwest Quadrant (SW) is north of Ridge Road East and South of Titus Avenue, from Kings Highway South, west to the Genesee River. Included in the SW quadrant is the area west of Cooper Road to the Genesee River, including Fairview Crescent and Sachem Way.

Southeast Quadrant (SE) covers the entire area south of Route 104, including Sunrise Crescent, which is just north of Route 104 and on the east side of Route 590.

The Town provides free curbside brush collection for branches and trimmings (no leaves, please). Brush will be picked up in each quadrant during the week listed below, (not the day). Brush should be at the curb in front of your house by 7:00 a.m. on the Monday of your scheduled pick-up week. Please check the map and directory to determine your quadrant.
