Irondequoit Lakeside Multi-Use Trail

Boardwalk

The Irondequoit Lakeside Multi-Use Trail is an approximately 4.8-mile pedestrian and bicycle trail that runs from the north side of Culver Rd. in Sea Breeze to Pattonwood Drive to the O'Rorke Bridge.  It follows portions of Culver Road, St. Paul Blvd, Lake Shore Blvd, and Sweet Fern Road.

The trail is a joint project of Irondequoit and Monroe County.  It includes trail signs, rest stops, and a
13-foot-wide timber boardwalk/bridge crossing Tamarack Swamp.

Camp Eastman is located near the trail’s midpoint.

The trail has five segments:

Segment 1:  Sea Breeze Harbor (approximately 0.1 miles)

-  Extends along north side of Culver Rd. from the Irondequoit Bay Outlet Bridge to I-590.
-  Uses existing 5’ wide asphalt sidewalk.
-  New trail signage, pedestrian crosswalk striping, and rest stop.

Segment 2:  Culver Road (approximately 0.8 miles)

-  Extends along south/east side of Culver Rd. from I-590 to Sweet Fern Rd.
-  Uses existing 5’ wide asphalt sidewalk.
-  New trail signage, pedestrian crosswalk striping, and rest stop.

Segment 3:  Durand Eastman Park (approximately 2.2 miles)

-  Extends along north side of Sweet Fern Rd. and Lakeshore Blvd. from Culver Rd. to the western limit of Durand Eastman Park.
-  New 13’ wide asphalt trail.
-  New 13’ wide timber boardwalk/bridge crossing Tamarack Swamp.
-  New trail signage and rest stops.

Segment 4:  Lake Shore Boulevard (approximately 1.0 miles)

-  Extends along north side of Lake Shore Blvd. from western limit of Durand Eastman Park to St. Paul Blvd.
-  New 5’ wide concrete sidewalk from Durand Eastman Park to Rock Beach Rd.
-  Uses existing 5’ wide concrete sidewalk from Rock Beach Rd. to St. Paul Blvd.
-  New trail signage, pedestrian crosswalk striping, and rest stops.

Segment 5:  St. Paul Boulevard and Pattonwood Drive (approximately 0.7 miles)

-  Extends along west side of St. Paul Blvd. and north side of Pattonwood Dr.from Lake Shore Blvd. to the O’Rorke Bridge.
-  Uses existing 5’ wide concrete sidewalk.
-  New trail signage, pedestrian crosswalk striping, and rest stops.
