On July 12, 2007 at 4:35 a.m, Brianna’s mother suffered a diabetic low and was on the floor unresponsive. Brianna called her grandmother to ask for medical help for her mother. Brianna took care of her two-week-old baby sister until the police and medical help arrived. Brianna also was able to control their two large dogs so that the emergency personnel could get in to help her mother. ROBERT WALLACE Rochester, N.Y.
On June 20, 2007, Mr. Wallace observed heavy black smoke coming from a home on Woodside Place. He found that the front porch was engulfed in flames. Mr. Wallace took the initiative to call 9-1-1. He woke up the residents of the home, and he had extinguished the majority of the fire by the time the fire fighters arrived on scene. ERIC GIAMBRONE Rochester, N.Y.
Mr. Giambrone served as a volunteer in our Irondequoit Police Department Special Police Force for 17 years. He started out as an Officer and was quickly promoted to Sergeant. Mr. Giambrone assisted the police department at many events throughout the years, and selflessly volunteered several hours for our community. RAYMAN ROBINSON Rochester, N.Y.
On June 17, 2007 at 4:06 a.m., Mr. Robinson observed a robbery at the 7-11 store at 430 Empire Blvd. and he took the initiative to follow the suspect vehicle and to call 9-1-1. Mr. Robinson witnessed the suspect throw valuable evidence out of his vehicle and reported this to 9-1-1. It was with Mr. Robinson’s help that the Irondequoit Police were able to locate and arrest the suspect and recover the evidence. The suspect was charged with robbery, grand larceny, and assault. |
