Good Neighbor Award

Irondequoit is a very caring community where neighbors care for each other. In an effort to recognize this spirit of compassion, The Supervisor has launched the Good Neighbor Award. This award is being established to recognize citizens who do what they can to improve the quality if life for their neighbors or other citizens in Irondequoit.

The Town will continually accept nominations from residents. Winners will be chosen each quarter. Honorees will be invited to a Town Board meeting to be recognized. They will also be recognized in Images magazine and on Irondequoit Cable Access TV (Channel 12).

Those nominating their neighbors, even for the smallest things, will now have a way to publicly say thank you to them. It will be heartwarming to see how many people are there for their neighbors -- day in and day out -- doing things that mean more to others than they could ever know.

HOW TO APPLY: As you write your nomination letters, be sure to include:

- Your name and telephone number.
- The name and phone number of the person being nominated.

Please limit your letters to 150 words.

ELIGIBILITY: All Town residents are eligible to nominate a neighbor or be nominated. Town employees can be nominated only for actions performed off work hours.
