Current DPW Projects
Each year, our staff of approximately 57 DPW employees undertakes numerous improvement and maintenance projects on Town facilities. In 2012, these projects include:

Remove 100 dead or damaged trees from the Town rights of way.

Replace approximately 1.5 miles of sidewalk along Westchester Ave. and Laurelton Rd. between Shelford Rd. and Route 590. This is part of the Safe Routes to School Sidewalk grant the Town received. |

Approximately 20 other Town wide minor drainage related improvements including replacing culverts, repairing end sections, stabilizing stream banks, and installing overflow structures and channels.

Brett Rd. Reconstruction: Lining storm and sanitary sewers, sidewalk and road replacement.
