SidewalksThere are over 200 miles of sidewalks in the Town of Irondequoit. Each year the Department of Public Works replaces cracked, heaved, or deteriorated sidewalks in a handful of neighborhoods. Limited resources make it difficult to keep up with aging infrastructure. The Town also plows sidewalks, on streets that are normally plowed, in the winter months. Each year the crews rotate and plow either the even or odd house number side of the street with sidewalks.
