Winter Parking Ordinance

 
NO PARKING ON ALL TOWN ROADS 
OR THE GRASS ON RIGHTS-OF-WAY

 

 
WHEN:          November 1 to April 15
Midnight to 9:00 AM
  
WHY:To make plowing and salting of dedicated Town streets
safer and more effective 
  
WHY: To cut the cost of snow removal and save tax dollars 
  
WHY: To provide improved safety on Town roads 

 

 

 PLAN AHEAD NOW TO AVOID PROBLEMS
  
VIOLATIONS:Fines range from $50-250
  
Vehicles that must be towed will be towed at owners’ expense.  Please call the Irondequoit Police Department at 585-336-6000 if your vehicle is towed.
  
LAWN DAMAGE:The Town makes every effort to minimize damage to grass and mail boxes during plowing.  However, it is impossible to completely eliminate these occurrences.  If you have sustained damage to a mail box or would like to report right-of-way turf damage, please call the Department of Public Works at 585-336-6090.
