585-336-6000 Dial “911” for Emergencies The Community Services Unit provides a proactive approach to law enforcement through community policing. Officers work closely with residents, community groups, and youth to address problems. Community policing programs include the Irondequoit Crime Prevention Coalition and Neighborhood Watch, DARE and other school programs, special police and crossing guards -- all of which are the responsibility of the Community Services Unit.
